Speech recognition module

Hi all,
regrettably I did not have much time to tinker with Annex for more than a year, but I hope that will change soon.
However, I have been following development with much interest and am still very much impressed by what Cicciocb has given us all. Really Big Thank You.

A simmering idea for a new project involves speech-recognition and I found an interesting module on Aliexpress which might be of interest to others too.

It is a fairly cheap module (less than 12 euro plus shipping) in which you can store up to 50 spoken commands (or sounds), all done locally and control is via the serial port.
Single short words like 'On' or "Off' do not work very well, they have to be made more distinct. eg 'Switch it on'

I found only 1 shop that offers it for sale. They also have other simpler modules.

I've made a short video giving an impression of what to expect.
To be clear, the module does not 'understand' the words, it only compares it to previously recorded audio and if
recognised, returns the stored id (00..49) together with a recognition score. That suites me fine.
It is even not too finicky, because when my wife repeats the commands, they are mostly recognised.
The module comes with a microphone and after hooking it up to an ESP/Annex you are ready to go.
