Development roadmap on Github

Post by cicciocb »

Hi all,
exploring the functionalities included into Github, I think useful to track the development process of Annex RDS.
I'll try to follow all the evolutions using this tool as it contains some interesting functionalities such as the possibility to insert document / comments and modify the status of each point individually.

Using this link it is possible to have an overview what is in development and what is in the todo list.

If you have a Github account (is free) you can even give your comment / advice directly into each item.

Please check it and let me know your advice.

Looks a useful benefit ... and is certainly good to know what's in the pipeline.
(I need to try to find the old account details)

Edit: Not sure if this was taken over by microsoft, but if so, they will have plans to grab by the curlies and monetize (same playbook as google) so perhaps not depend on it too much.

Yes, Github is owned by microsoft but nearly all the open source world use Github today so I think I'll not be the only one in trouble :D

But yes, you are right, they can change the terms and conditions at any time as google does regularly.

I like the idea of having an overview, diving deeper into your many fresh and new ideas - and perhaps also having the opportunity to provide some user input through comments now on github.
On the other hand, it also makes me feel like I'm no longer sure where the pulse of the times is or that I'm missing out on a discussion. My impression is: the forum has its problems, but with emailing it's a good place where I can follow the line and don't feel distracted.
However, I can also well understand that you are looking for a better way to focus and support your much appreciated endless efforts.
Not sure wether I am alone with this feeling.

Just saw this. Great idea. I have a lot to catch up on as I don't have much time for Annex during the summer.

How is the call stack progressing?

Great idea and on GitHub OK.

I am just wondering when do you have time to fit sleep into your schedule?

I really appreciate all your efforts. I just wish I had found Annex 32 a few years ago.
