I had a look but this is way beyond me atm and I doubt I'll ever get to that level. When I posted this project I was simply thinking of mostly replacing the "hardware" of the toy rather than the high level modding in the article.

Look what I found today for A$2 in Salvos...

Not a laptop but maybe a Bluetooth gamepad?
Only directions, 4 buttons and slide switch operational though.

Now all I need to do is learn how to solder 10+ wires to increadibly tiny traces on an old pcb and i may be able to make something out of it!!

Update: just found out it's already been done before and now I lost interest. Fo I take it back to Salvos for a refud?
