I was trying to make a one-button phone for my father, so I bought a a SIM7600E.
It turned out to be the wrong type. I could use it to send text messages, but the board lacked the audio chip.
So to actually make phone calls you would need a SIM7600E-H.
Cicciocb was kind enough to write a program for me to test the module, but sadly my father died before I had a chance to make an attempt.
The program did work fine for texting though.

Thank you so much for your kindness

I would like to say it is a strange sensation.
Being comforted on a forum with mostly technically inclined members, who you have never met and who don't know who you are.

It is a heart warming gesture that somehow makes even a bigger impact than the same empathy from friends and family.
Maybe because you take the consideration to let a complete stranger feel that you understand.

It brings tears into my eyes.

Dear Hendrix
Thank you for replying with more context.
I'd like to offer my condolences to the memory of your late father.
When you first replied I felt bad about myself because I resurrected an old topic that reminded you of your father's last days, but I was pleased to see other members offer their condolences and you moved by their kindness.
I hope you find solace and live many healthy years to cherish the special moments you had with your father and honour his memory.
I love this community!
